Who is responsible

What we collect and why

When you use the booking calendar, write to us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, email, travel dates, number of guests and any message you send. A phone number is optional. For the Reserva Conchal gate we also need the names of the people in your group. If you pay online, the payment is handled by the payment provider, and we never see your card number.

We use this data to quote, confirm and manage your booking, to arrange your arrival and stay, to handle payments and refunds, and to answer your questions. We rely on your consent, which you give when you send us the data, and on what is needed to carry out the booking you asked for.

Who processes it

We share only what is needed with the house owner and the Reserva Conchal gate, and with these providers:

• HostFlowLab, our booking system, with servers in the United States, and its email service, which sends your booking messages.
• Pagadito or PayPal, for card and online payments.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this site and handles technical connection data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and keep them secure.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us there.

Because HostFlowLab and some of these providers operate outside Costa Rica, your data is transferred internationally, mainly to the United States. By sending us your data you consent to that transfer for the purposes above. We don't sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep booking data for as long as needed to run your booking and handle any later question or claim about it. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires. After that we delete or anonymize the data.

Your rights

Under Law No. 8968 you have the right to access your data, to have it rectified, to ask for it to be deleted and to withdraw your consent. To use any of these rights, write to [email protected] from the email you booked with and say what you need. We reply within the time the law sets. If you feel your rights were not respected, you can file a complaint with PRODHAB, the Costa Rican data protection agency (Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes).

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It only remembers your language choice (English or Spanish) in your browser's local storage, and that stays on your device. The booking calendar loads from HostFlowLab, which receives the dates you look up.

Minors

This site is not directed at people under 18, and whoever books must be 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect data from minors, other than the names of the children in a travelling group that the person booking gives us.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Our booking terms explain the rest of how a booking works. Costa Rican law applies.

Qué recopilamos y para qué

Cuando usas el calendario de reservas, nos escribes o nos mandas un mensaje por WhatsApp, recibimos tu nombre, correo, fechas de viaje, cantidad de personas y el mensaje que nos envíes. El teléfono es opcional. Para la caseta de Reserva Conchal también necesitamos los nombres de las personas de tu grupo. Si pagas en línea, el pago lo procesa el proveedor de pagos y nosotros nunca vemos el número de tu tarjeta.

Usamos estos datos para cotizar, confirmar y administrar tu reserva, coordinar tu llegada y estadía, gestionar pagos y devoluciones y responder tus consultas. Nos basamos en tu consentimiento, que das al enviarnos los datos, y en lo necesario para cumplir la reserva que pediste.

Quién los procesa

Compartimos solo lo necesario con el propietario de la casa y la caseta de Reserva Conchal, y con estos proveedores:

• HostFlowLab, nuestro sistema de reservas, con servidores en Estados Unidos, y su servicio de correo, que envía los mensajes de tu reserva.
• Pagadito o PayPal, para pagos con tarjeta y en línea.
• Cloudflare, que aloja este sitio y maneja datos técnicos de conexión, como tu dirección IP, para entregar las páginas y mantenerlas seguras.
• WhatsApp, si decides contactarnos por ahí.

Como HostFlowLab y algunos de estos proveedores operan fuera de Costa Rica, tus datos se transfieren internacionalmente, principalmente a Estados Unidos. Al enviarnos tus datos consientes esa transferencia para los fines indicados. No vendemos tus datos.

Cuánto tiempo los guardamos

Guardamos los datos de la reserva el tiempo necesario para atenderla y resolver cualquier consulta o reclamo posterior. Los registros de pago se guardan el plazo que exige la ley tributaria. Después los borramos o los anonimizamos.

Tus derechos

Según la Ley N.° 8968 tienes derecho a acceder a tus datos, a que se rectifiquen, a pedir que se eliminen y a retirar tu consentimiento. Para ejercer cualquiera de estos derechos escribe a [email protected] desde el correo con el que reservaste e indícanos qué necesitas. Respondemos en el plazo que fija la ley. Si consideras que tus derechos no fueron respetados, puedes presentar una denuncia ante la PRODHAB, la Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes.

Cookies y analítica

Este sitio no usa analítica, publicidad ni cookies de rastreo. Solo recuerda tu idioma (inglés o español) en el almacenamiento local de tu navegador, que se queda en tu dispositivo. El calendario de reservas se carga desde HostFlowLab, que recibe las fechas que consultas.

Menores de edad

Este sitio no está dirigido a menores de 18 años, y quien reserva debe ser mayor de edad. No recopilamos datos de menores a sabiendas, salvo los nombres de los niños de un grupo que la persona que reserva nos indique.

Cambios

Si cambiamos este aviso, actualizaremos la fecha de arriba. Nuestras condiciones de reserva explican el resto de cómo funciona una reserva. Rige la ley costarricense.
