The condo
Malinche is a ground-floor condo in Reserva Conchal, near Brasilito. It was remodeled not long ago. Roughly 1,400 square feet, all on one level, with no stairs anywhere inside.
Both bedrooms have king beds, and there's a full-size sofa bed in the living room, which is how it sleeps six. The two bathrooms are new.
The living room opens onto a covered terrace with the lawn right in front, and that's where the sunsets are. You can see the ocean from there, but it's far off. Don't picture a beach view.
This corner of Reserva Conchal is called Malinche too (it's the local name for the flame tree). It's a small group of Spanish-colonial style condos that share a pool, and the pool is a short walk from the terrace.

The kitchen has the usual fridge, oven, microwave, toaster and blender, plus two coffee makers (a drip one and a Nespresso), dishes and wine glasses. Linens are provided and there are extra pillows. The shades darken the room if you want to sleep in. There's also a safe, and the safety basics: smoke and CO alarms, an extinguisher, a first-aid kit.

Reserva Conchal is a gated resort community with the Robert Trent Jones II golf course inside it.
While you're at Malinche you can use the Reserva Conchal Beach Club, which is on Playa Conchal. There are pools, a restaurant, a gym and a spa, and kayaks and paddleboards if you want to get out on the water. The sand on Conchal is crushed shell. Hence the name.
Brasilito has the sodas, which is where we'd send you for lunch. Flamingo and its marina are a little further up the coast; Tamarindo, for surfing, is down the coast.
Rincón de la Vieja and Río Celeste are full-day trips. So is the Llanos de Cortés waterfall.

Long stays
Thinking about a month, or the whole season? Weekly and monthly discounts come off on their own when your dates qualify, and they show up as a line in the quote. For anything longer, send us the dates and we'll work out a price. If you'll be working, the internet is fast and there's an Ethernet connection.
Before you book
- Check-in from 3 PM, check-out by 10 AM.
- Ground floor, no stairs inside.
- Pets are allowed. Tell us about yours when you send your dates.
- No private pool. You'd be using the Malinche pool, which the other condos share.
- For the beach you need a car or a golf cart. Reserva Conchal has a shuttle, but you can't always count on it.
- The minimum stay depends on the season. The calendar tells you once you pick a check-in date.
How booking works
Pick your dates in the calendar and the price comes up right there. The request button opens WhatsApp with the dates already typed in. We check them on our side and send you the payment details.
